ZENMUSE L2
The DJI Zenmuse L2 is an enterprise aerial surveying payload designed for commercial drones such as the DJI Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK. It integrates a high-precision LiDAR sensor, a high-accuracy self-developed Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), and a 4/3 CMOS RGB mapping camera into a 3-axis stabilized gimbal.
Core Components
Frame-Based LiDAR: Uses a 905nm laser with up to 5 returns, allowing it to penetrate dense tree canopy to capture accurate ground elevations. It achieves a point cloud rate of up to 240,000 pts/s (single return) or 1,200,000 pts/s (multiple returns).
4/3 CMOS RGB Camera: Features a 20 MP sensor with a mechanical shutter to prevent motion blur during high-speed mapping. It captures high-resolution imagery used for photogrammetry and for coloring the LiDAR point cloud in true RGB.
High-Accuracy IMU: Delivers high precision without requiring a lengthy pre-flight IMU warm-up. Coupled with RTK positioning, it ensures overall system accuracy of 5 cm horizontally and 4 cm vertically from a flight altitude of 150 m.
