MU-M400S Tethering power system-Lite Version for DJI M400
The MU-M400S Tethering Power System (Lite Version) is the streamlined, portable alternative to the "Pro" version for the DJI Matrice 400 (M400). While the Pro version is built for heavy-duty, permanent installations, the Lite Version is optimized for rapid deployment by a single operator, making it ideal for mobile incident command units.
It provides a continuous power link from the ground, allowing for flight times limited only by the ground power source (generator or grid), though with slightly lower output and altitude compared to the Pro model.
1. Key Features: Lite Version
Ultra-Portable Ground Station: The station is housed in a compact, hand-carry "briefcase" style rugged box, significantly lighter than the Pro winch system.
70m – 80m Tether: Includes a shorter, thinner tether cable (typically 70m) compared to the 110m+ on the Pro version. This reduces the weight the drone must lift, maximizing its stability.
Plug-and-Play Power: Designed to run off a standard 110V/220V AC outlet or a small portable generator (e.g., a 3000W inverter generator).
Manual/Semi-Auto Winch: Unlike the fully automated Pro winch, the Lite version often uses a simplified tension-assist system to keep the cable organized during ascent and descent.
Redundancy Protection: Uses the TB100C Tethered Battery on the drone, which acts as a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). If the ground power is interrupted, the drone switches to battery power for a safe landing.
